"The people saw the lightening...heard the thunder, and stood afar off, shaking with fear...but Moses drew near the thick darkness where God was."
Exodus 20:18-21
Welcome to Sinai Thunder, located just minutes south of Lexington, Kentucky---the famous Blue Grass Country. We've been blessed with a beautiful farm where we raise registered Nigerian Dwarf Dairy Goats. We participate in Linear Appraisal and DHIR Milk Testing. Thus, we strive to raise high-quality, friendly, healthy animals that will excel not only in milking or the show ring, but also will be a source of the Lord's joy for you and your family. If you have questions, please contact us and we'll try to help you in any way we can. In the meantime, may the Lord bless you with His Presence and may you continually feel His Peace and Love--as He reveals His heart.
WE ARE BLESSED AND MOST HONORED TO ANNOUNCE:
2023
We had both Linear Appraisal (Aug) & Classification (June) again this year. Ahh, the joy of clipping each goat twice ;)
I was floored with the scores of our young stock (Both Tim & Eric are notorious for being hard on them) and thrilled with some of our older girls who FINALLY kidded at the right time for scoring:
Classification: Aliyah: 90.1Ex, Celeste (who, of course) kidded a single large buck: 89VG+.
FFs: Bunny 89.9VG+, Silvie 89.5VG+, Juniper 89.2VG+, Myra 88.3VG, Lovey 87VG, Bekah 86.6VG.
Bucks: Ariel 90.6Ex, Dude 88VG, Virtuoso 89.6VG+ & Rosh88.9VG (OH)
Linear Appraisal: Aliyah EEEE92, Kate (Vindication) EEEE92, Addie EEEE91, Amore VEEV89.
FFs: Bunny EEVE89, Silve (Sick), Bekah GGVV86, Lovey GVGE87 (both “Lovey & Bekah were exciting but immature. They each have all the right parts, but just need to mature and should become nice does.”)
Bucks: Dauntless EEE91, Mighty Man VEE90, ExEcutive Order VEE89,* Otis VEV89,* Virtuoso VEV89*, (due to being 1/4-1/2” OH bc rut had started the week before), & Rosh VEE88 (OH) Eric said each would’ve LAd in 90s if not OH—inclu Rosh.
When all the LA’s & Milk Stars get logged in with ADGA, I’m thrilled to introduce you to our newest SG does:

2022
When all the LA’s & Milk Stars get logged in with ADGA, I’m thrilled to introduce you to our newest +B buck:
Sinai Thunder Ex Maccabees +*B VEV89
All 6 of Mac’s daughters (in milk) are pending their milk stars; 3 of which have PEs of 85 or above. Two are eligible for their SG, and one should be SG/Elite.
We have 2 more Mac daughters to go on test: one is scheduled for the end of November. The other, due in December won’t be put on test until early 2023. Lord willing, this will give Mac at least 3 daughters that earn their stars in AGS making Mac a +*B +*S.
I’m pretty excited to announce we finally had BOTH the AGS Classification and (yay), our ADGA Appraisal this year. LOTS of hard work to prepare—-and no, they weren’t close together—-meaning FULL body clips twice on all the does & bucks. Tim was gracious enough to look at our young stock so it was just one time clips for them.
Since AGS was first—-we were so blessed and just a bit giddy at how our FFs did:
Amore 88VG, Beloved 89.9VG+, Joy 89.5VG+, & Favor 89.6VG+ (kidded last Fall)
Our favorite Freshman buck, Freedom’s Stand (aka Buffalo) 88.8VG.
(All of which we were so thrilled bc Tim tends to be very critical of younger stock (understandably), so Praise the LORD!)
2 of our fav senior bucks were scored: Rosh 89.7 & Dauntless 90.6
Appraisal (ADGA) also went great—-even though it was 2 months in between—-and a lot warmer. I’m just really thankful that our Senior does finally have their scores:
Sonnet & Treasure (Ex Marks th Spot) scored EEEE91.
Goodness & Maple Joy (kidded last Aug) each scored VEEE91.
Gladys (1st time LA’d & on Milk Test), Passion, & Toni scored VEEE90, w Jane & Tizrah (last Fall kidding) VVEE90.
Penny & Favor (FF, kidding last Fall) both earned VVEE89.
Also I was very pleased that our buck: Mac VEV89
(Mac & Rosh are litter brothers—-and both throw completely different styles!! Don’t you just love genetics!!!)
After a lot of thought (& prayer), we decided to go ahead and DNA our entire herd as well as the Alpha-S1 Casein Results.
It may take me some time, but I have almost all the results back and will enter them on their individual pages as time permits.
For now, you will find the results on the master page…ie., the Buck, Senior Does (including a few of our retired does), and First Freshener pages. Slowly we will finish the rest of the retired does. All of which should give you the peace of mind, the animals you get from us, are indeed, bred as registered, as well as the assurance of the high quality of milk genetics.
Last Fall, we reached the realization that a group of our foundation does were getting older. So, we sectioned off a special area of stalls designated just for the “geriatric girls” much to their (and our joy). They had free (unlimited) access to Alfalfa and were bedded in deep, comfortable straw. There were many pictures taken over the last 8 months that we’ve had lots of chuckles about. Starting in February, we said farewell to Mercy (CousCous), 1x Best Udder, Top 10 Milker & was Breed Leader 3x w AGS. Next was Calista (dam of 2 SG/ELITE daughters, including ADGA & AGS Nat'l Top 10), Goodie the loving “Mother of the Year” who bravely delivered septuplets (all of who lived to adulthood) & Top 10 Milker. Smoke was next, had the longest record of days milked…until Silent shattered and set a new record. I was with Silent as she passed unexpectedly in her stall April 2nd—leaving behind a trail of tears. She was everyone’s favorite…and a dear old lady. (All these girls were) Silent was Breed Leader in AGS in Butterfat, and her record of milking 1789 days will stand a long time and has passed her longevity & gentle, kind heart on to her kids. The next two were gut wrenches—-In May, Virtue went to Sam’s herd in Heaven—-and in July we said goodbye (for now) to Peridot. I’ve tried to move them from Retired to the Memory section (on the website), and yep…still can’t do it.
Just know, we feel we are the ones who are MOST blessed to have had these girls in our herd & our lives.
*****Once again, our herd has tested Negative for Johne's, CAE, & CL (February 2022)*****

Once again, Kentucky was passed over by ADGA for LA this year. And once again, AGS has come through wonderfully with their Classification scores. So, basically, I’m only going to include the AGS scores until we can (hopefully) participate w LA.

2020:
The 2nd ADGA Elite List came out the week of Thanksgiving—-and we have a LOT to be thankful for; we have another Elite doe:
SG/Elite ST O Atonement 2*M 2*DAR Ex90.8
Of the 9 Superior Genetics daughters sired by Olivero, 7 have now earned their Elite Designation (95% PE)
and in showing: 2 sons (one also is Elite): ELITE ST O Hark The Herald +*B +*S (2xGCH, 1xBOB) standing at Breezy Farms,
& CH Sinai Thunder O Tuffenuff *B*S (1xGCH, 1xBOB)
Even though ADGA didn’t LA for 2020, we were still blessed w 5 Oliver FF’s whose PE ranged 88%-93%—
(easily qualifying them for SG had they been allowed to LA)
Once again, we were floored!!! The ADGA Top 10’s came out 8/31/20 and we’re so proud of:
SG/Elite Sinai Thunder O Maple Joy 8*M 8*DAR Ex90.3
Not only is Maple the ADGA’s Breed Leader (#1) in ButterFat, she also is now the Record Holder.
Also BIG Congratulations goes to SGCH Woodbridge Peridot 3*M *DAR EEEE91 who made Top 10 in all 3 categories,
a most fitting accomplishment to announce her retirement.
Additional congrats to: SG Patience VVEE90 2nd in BF (116#), Peridot was 3rd (113#), SG/Elite Bella EEEV90 9th (94#)
And, yay for SG/Elite Cedar View Livia 5*M EEEE90 (Petey’s dam) for earning Top 10 in BF & Prot.
The ADGA Elite List came out in early August—-we were once again blessed to be included among some amazing leaders:
Oliver (93%PE) & 3 of his daughters: O Maple Joy (98%PE), O Tizrah (97%PE), O Cassiopeia (97%PE)
In addition, both a daughter and a son out of SG/Elite Redemption:
SG/Elite Sinai Thunder Bella Riscatta 2*M 2*DAR EEEV90 (97%PE), and SG/Elite Sinai Thunder AG Joshua +*B +*S (85%PE)
In addition, heartfelt congratulations to Cedar View and their doe (who is Oliver’s dam):
SGCH Cedar View Isabella 4*M 4*D EEEE91 ADGA Elite: 2015-2020 (99%PE)
We now have our 2nd buck that has become ++*B ++*S—-amazing bc he is just 5 years old:
SG/Elite Cedar View Olivero ++*B ++*S VG+89
In February, several does completed their 305 Test and we were thrilled to have our first doe surpass the 1500# mark on DHI. We’ve had several finish around 1450# but, frankly I never thought we’d see 1500#. Introducing our all-time homebred leader:
SG/Elite Sinai Thunder O Maple Joy 8*M 8*DAR Ex90.3
1512#-120#-59#
Additional Congratulations goes to: SG Tizrah 2*M 2*DAR VG+89.4 (1264# 91#BF), SG O Cassie 2*M 2*DAR Ex91.5 (1212# 92# BF),
all three are daughters of SG/Elite Cedar View Olivero +*B +*S VG+89
We’ve participated in DHI since 2012 and while ALL the hard work are done by the girls—-there’s still a lot of effort on our part. Therefore, it’s very exciting to witness their genetic potential being fulfilled. And we give the Lord all the glory!!!!
Several of our homebred bucks have earned their +*B +*S status, but we just received notice we have our first ++*B ++*S:
Sinai Thunder AG Asher ++*B ++*S VVV87

Congratulations also going to:
Sinai Thunder ASH Hyssop Dip +*B +*S VEE90 & Sinai Thunder Asher’s Judah +*B +*S
Speaking of bucks, two of our younger boys have qualified for the 2019 ADGA Sire Development Program (ADGA-SDP):
Sinai Thunder Joy Ride *B *S & Sinai Thunder Dipp’n Joy *B *S
(Hyssop Dip +*B +*S x SG/Elite O Maple Joy 8*M 8*DAR VEVV89)
Late last Fall, I had major health issues (including a couple of stays at the hospital) with the prognosis of a challenging, somewhat lengthy recovery. After a lot of prayer and many, many tears we made the decision to dramatically reduce our herd. I am beyond blessed to have placed our does into very wonderful homes. There is such overwhelming peace to know they will be well loved and taken care of by some of the nicest people I’ve ever met. I’m very encouraged to see how the Lord will continue the vision He originally gave us. We’ve retained a few of my most favorite lines and I pray blessings on the herd He’s given us to steward.
*****Once again, our herd has tested Negative for Johne's, CAE, & CL (September 2020)*****
2019:

SG Helmstead Minis GB War Emblem 2*M *DAR (95% PE), and our buck SG Cedar View Olivero +*B +*S (2018, 2019).
Worthy to be noted: SGCH Priesty 2*M 2*DAR had a daughter (Brandy) get her Elite Status (96% PE), and SG Olivero's dam and half sister: SGCH Cedar View Isabella 4*M 4*D (99% PE) & Cedar View Penelope 5*M (95% PE).
Between the June Milk Test and Linear Appraisal (early July), I made a huge blunder by giving (undetectable moldy) hay to most of our Milkers. Unbeknownst to us, the hay was stored on the ground (dirt) at the feed store warehouse and was filled with microscopic mold spores. The week before LA, we battled multiple cases of severe bloat and lost one of our most favorite FFs due to Listeriosis. The necropsy and subsequent tests revealed the bad hay as the source. In spite of the fact that none of our milkers filled up to their normal capacity, our Linear Appraisal went great. We had some wonderful overall scores and by the time we had our July Test, we were most blessed that all the girls had (mostly) recovered their production. A painful lesson in the importance of quality hay/nutrition. So grateful for the following:
SG Sinai Thunder AG Patience 2*M 2*DAR VVEE90 & her daughter: Helmstead Minis GB Virtue 3*M 3*DAR EEEE92, SG Helmstead Minis GB War Emblem 2*M *DAR VEEE90, SG Bella Riscatta 2*M 2*DAR EEEV90,
SG O Hosanna 5*M 3*DAR Ex90, SG O Maple Joy 8*M 8*DAR VEVV89, ST Adoration 4*M 2*DAR E+EE89.
The AGS Top 10 (2018) came out in mid-June and we are so thrilled that two of our does were Breed Leaders:
SG Sinai Thunder AG Patience 2*M 2*DAR VVEE90
in three categories (305): #1 ButterFat, 1Day: Overall Score & ButterFat). We are beyond blessed that Patience has now ranked #1 six times in AGS & ADGA, and still holds the all-time record for Overall Score (121.73)
SG Helmstead Minis GB Emblem 2*M 2*DAR VEEE90 (1Day: Production 7# [3 way tie])
Peridot, Comet, Cassiopeia, & Heaven were ranked 2nd. Be My Peace was 3rd, and Tizrah, Tiqvah, & Priesty placed 4th.
Four of our Oliver daughters ranked in multiple categories, ranging from 2nd-10th (as FFs)
Our dear old boy, Olson Acres RC Augustine ++*B ++*S, AR/HS has sired 4 daughters who have been Breed Leaders 11 times, and many, multiple Top 10’s (in both registries), SG’s & Elites. Augustine is enjoying his retirement and is such a JOY.
We had our AGS Classification in late April and we so pleased with the results:
Helmstead Minis GB Virtue 2*M 2*DAR Ex90.2, EEEE92
We are beyond thrilled that three of our highest scores were Oliver daughters, with the Top score going to:
SG Sinai Thunder O Cassiopeia 2*M 2*DAR Ex91.4 (2ndF)
SG O Hosanna 5*M 3*DAR Ex 90.1 (2ndF), O Atonement 2*M 2*D Ex90 (FF, unofficial)

We survived this year's very confusing Linear Appraisal. While we didn't understand the many inconsistencies of how the scoring was figured, I'd like to say that the appraiser was indeed a nice person, very knowledgable, and we were blessed w a lot of the scores we received. We are super supportive of the ADGA LA program and it has proven to be an invaluable asset to us in the past. I've waited a month before posting this---because I'm still perplexed---for example, either ADGA has a new scale from previous years or it appears that the hip measurements of of our adult does have shrunk, some by nearly 50%--naming just one of the many contradictions of this LA session verses some of the wonderful ones we've had in the past. (You will find a continuation of my thoughts and explanations on the various doe's or buck's individual pages)
