Favor has been one of our most amazing FFs. She’s a very powerful and correct doe, with some of the highest scores for a FF AGS gives. Amazing—-bc Favor was 7 months fresh. She had scores in the 90’s for Body Capacity, yet was was a 93 in her angularity in Dairy Character. Her Mammary system also excelled with 90’s in Fore & Rear Udder, as well as lateral attachments.
As a milker, Favor has consistently had off-the-charts ButterFat—-her 1st test she had 13.2% while milking 5.7#!!! She’s continued the high BFs, throughout much of her lactation (twice scoring 11.7%, 10.1%, 9.1%.& 9% in BF) and finished her 305 with 1292#, 120# BF, 60# Pro—-and being awarded ELITE Doe with a PE: 99%. Pretty impressive for a First Freshener.
We had the chance to get her sire (Rosh) back and were so grateful. Rosh is everyone’s favorite, bc he’s thrilled to see you, every single time. Truly—-he runs across the field bc he just knows you’re there to pet him, which he ends up getting all kinds of loving. But even if you aren’t able to stop to pet him, he’s the eternal optimist & is all the more ready next time.
Favor’s dam is Blessing—a litter sister to Goodness (whose LA score was VVEE90 this summer—2022, and is SG pending). Blessing wasn’t bred for the Spring.
These 2 girls were the last litter of Charity, who was one of those does closest to your heart. Charity had a difficult labor, lived through the night and next day to valiantly care for her daughters. They became house babies and have been close to one another (and to us) ever since.
Charity has produced multiple Top 10 milkers & Breed Leaders (#1 in the nation) for ADGA, AGS, or both. In addition SG/Elite daughters, with excellent LA scores—-they, have, in turn also produced sons & daughters w LA’s in the 90’s, Elites, SG’s, Top 10s in ADGA, and GCH’s. Its still very tender to write about Charity—-but to give her the due she deserves—-Charity was an SG/Elite Top 10 milker, 3x GCH, and also LA90. In every way possible she was just the very best doe, and is still very missed.
There is a lot of joy (and thankfulness) for being given the honor to have this line—-from the very beginning—-in our herd and to see it be so abundantly blessed. We are truly grateful.
